Generated Awareness among the Women regarding various health issues, identified the RCH needs of rural and poor women; increased women’s active participation in fulfillment of those needs and in developmental and other allied programmes; Enabled women to organize themselves and strengthen their participation in decision making in the family and in the community to deal with social issues including atrocities on women and children. The 15 camps organized at various locations, in mostly highly backward and remote villages , were highly successful. There was great enthusiasm and interest in the local rural women to learn about various topics i.e. health issues, status and rights of women in society, economic issues, political knowledge etc. The gram sarpanchs were very cooperative and supportive. They also motivated the women of villages to attend this awareness camp. All members of Gram Panchayat congratulated “Anugraha” and its staff members for their good performance. |
